The leaders of the four factions in the Duma introduced a bill providing for deprivation acquired citizenship of those convicted of terrorism, should be from an electronic database of documents of the lower chamber.

The authors of the bill were made by Vladimir Vasilyev (United Russia), Gennady Zyuganov (Communist party), Sergey Mironov (CF) and Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR).

The explanatory Memorandum notes that currently the law does not provide such measures and it is proposed to amend article 22 of the Federal law «On citizenship of the Russian Federation».

The deputies believe that the law will be for the Russians additional protection from terrorism and help prevent such crime by individuals who have received Russian citizenship.

«The adoption of the Federal law will not require additional spending at the expense of the Federal budget», — said the authors of the bill.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin said that under the Constitution Russia is not one can be deprived of citizenship, but can cancel the decision, which formed the basis of its receipt. The reason for this statement were the words of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, for membership in a terrorist group «Islamic state» (IG, is prohibited in Russia) Kazakhstan will be deprived of citizenship.
