The government on Thursday will discuss a bill to increase administrative fines in case of improper execution of documents for residence in Russia to foreigners and individuals without Russian citizenship, reports the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the report, the bill is aimed at ensuring national security and improving legislation in the sphere of counteraction to illegal migration. The project proposes to increase administrative fines for violation of the established order of registration documents on the right of residence of foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship in Russia.

It is proposed to increase administrative fines for citizens – to 5 thousand roubles (now the sum is up to 4 thousand roubles), for officials – 50 thousand rubles (now up to 30 thousand rubles), for legal entities – up to 500 thousand roubles (now up to 300 thousand rubles).

The project was reviewed and approved on may 10 the meeting of the government Commission on legislative activities.
