Supporters of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange began to come to the Embassy of Ecuador in London after the news from Sweden about the termination of investigation of Assange, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
On Friday it became known that the Swedish prosecution authority discontinued the investigation into Assange, suspected of rape in Sweden in 2010. London police issued a statement in which he warned that if Assange leaves the Embassy, he gets arrested again. The reason for the arrest in London will be still a valid warrant issued by Westminster magistrates court after the founder of the controversial website 29 Jun 2012 refused to surrender to the court.
Currently before the balcony, which usually Assange addressed the audience of about 20 people arrived and started broadcasting the first journalists. It is not known whether the «hero of the day» to make a statement and if so, at what time.
Meanwhile, Assange’s Swedish lawyer Per Samuelsson said that his client could leave Ecuador’s Embassy in London at any time. Prosecutor Marianne Nude in its notification, filed on Friday in court of Stockholm, wrote that the Swedish prosecution authority has taken the decision to cancel the warrant on arrest of founder Wikileaks.
In Sweden in the summer of 2010 against Assange began investigations on the application of two women about the sexual claims during his stay in Stockholm. The suspect was detained in London on 7 December of the same year at the request of the Swedish police, insisting on his extradition. However, a few days Assange was released on bail. The suspect is in the Embassy of Ecuador in London since 2012 — he then appealed to the Ecuadorian authorities with a request for political asylum for fear of extradition by Swedish authorities in the United States in connection with his activities in Wikileaks.
