The unidentified remains of victims of the crash of the Russian airliner over the Sinai Peninsula was buried at the Serafimovskoe cemetery in St. Petersburg, told RIA Novosti the representative of the St. Petersburg Committee on city policy.

The largest in the history of Russian and Soviet aviation accident occurred October 31, 2015: Airbus A321 airline «Kogalymavia» carrying out flight 9268 Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. Onboard there were 217 passengers and seven crew members, they all died. The investigation is still ongoing, one of the main versions is the explosion on Board. The flights of Russian aircraft in Egypt, as well as the number of tourists from Russia after the disaster, was suspended and not resumed until now.

«The funeral ceremony took place today at the Seraphim cemetery,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

According to him, at the memorial event was attended by the relatives of the victims, members of the city government.

In memory of the victims of the crash were released in the sky 224 white balloon the number of dead people.
