The Venezuelan government made on Friday with the rigid statement in connection with the words of the President of the United States Donald trump in respect of the situation in the country, stressing that Washington had gone beyond all possible limits in its aggression.
Earlier, the US imposed sanctions against Chairman and seven members of the Supreme court of Venezuela, and President, trump said that his country together with partners in the Western hemisphere will work to improve the situation in Venezuela.
«Venezuela categorically rejects statements by US President Donald trump may 18, 2017 in the framework of its bilateral meetings with President of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos in Washington. The aggression of the President of trump against the Venezuelan people, government and state institutions has passed all bounds», — said in a read out on national television by the Minister of communication and information Ernesto Villegas, the statement of the authorities of the country.
According to Caracas, trump’s statements are absurd. «In his country (USA) in terrible shape, systematically and massively violated human rights», — stated in the message. The Venezuelan government also expressed regret that the new US President has continued the same agenda against Venezuela, as his predecessors George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
From the beginning of April in Venezuela are mass protests after the Supreme court’s decision to severely limit the power of opposition in the National Assembly. The decision was reversed, but opposition supporters took to the streets demanding the resignation of the members of the court, and hold early elections. Now the opposition is protesting against the constituent Assembly, considering it an attempt to change the Constitution. According to recent reports, during the protests has killed more than 45 people.
