The London Symphony orchestra (LSO) under the direction of conductor Valery Gergiev Sunday will perform at Trafalgar square with works of Sergei Rachmaninoff, the band will perform «Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini» and Symphony No. 2, the organizers of the concert.

A concert under the open sky be free, it will be held in the framework of the project a LSO Open Air Classics, the picture will be broadcast on big screens near the stage, it is expected that the number of viewers and listeners will exceed 10 thousand people, the project is now in its sixth year. Special registration for attending a concert is not required, but organizers point out that the size of the area is limited, therefore, when a large influx of visitors and access visitors will have to cover.

As part of the concert, the stage will be young musicians aged 11 to 18 years, they will perform the Suite «Symphonic dances» in the orchestra. Another star of the evening will be pianist Behzod Abduraimov, a permanent guest artist with the Mariinsky theatre. Abduraimov was born in 1990 in Tashkent, noted international prizes, performed with the orchestra of «the Mariinsky theatre» in Stockholm, Vienna, USA.

«Debut with the London Symphony orchestra at the famous Trafalgar square will be an amazing experiment, I’m very pleased to have this opportunity to speak with the LSO and once again with Maestro Gergiev,» — said the pianist, quoted by the press service of the administration of the concert.
