The statements of the representatives of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on the need for fundamental changes in the cultural code of Russia and the Russian mentality are very subjective and vague and make the conversation about the implementation of the roadmap in terms of specific dates and specific actions is very difficult, the press release of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RCC), which is published on the official website of the organization.

IPC in August last year took the decision to remove the Russians from the Paralympics in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and the deprivation of RCC membership in the organization. These sanctions also made it difficult for Russian Paralympic athletes to take part in the qualifying competition at the winter Paralympics in 2018, which will be held in South Korea’s Pyeongchang. IPC President Philip Craven on Monday announced that the Executive Committee unanimously voted to extend the suspension RCC.

«Along with the practical issues of restoration of membership in IPC during the press conference included statements about the need for radical changes in the cultural code of Russia and the Russian mentality. These statements are highly subjective and vague and make the conversation about the implementation of the roadmap in terms of specific dates and specific measures very difficult» — said in a release on the website of RCC.
