The cooperation in the energy sector, agriculture, as well as the cooperation of Moldova with the Eurasian economic Union were discussed during the meeting, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, announced in the Russian delegation accompanying the Prime Minister on the summit of the organization of black sea economic cooperation (BSEC) in Istanbul.

The meeting between Medvedev and of Dodona was held on the sidelines of the summit.

«They discussed the development of Russian-Moldovan relations with emphasis on trade-economic sphere, interaction (area — ed.) energy,» said a source in the delegation.

According to him, Medvedev said he discussed a number of energy projects and the Russian-Moldovan cooperation in agriculture. The head of the government of the Russian Federation expressed concern that the government of Moldova more actively engaged in addressing the specific issues of trade-economic cooperation with Russia.

«He also confirmed the interest of Moldova in the status of observer in the Eurasian economic community, called for the revitalization of Chisinau in the framework of the CIS», — said the source.
