The mayor of Brussels Ivan Mayor, for security reasons, banned a rally of supporters of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which they intended to hold in the day of his arrival in the Belgian capital on may 24.

«At the time of the referendum in Turkey on expansion of powers of the President Erdogan, the Turkish Embassy (in Brussels – ed.) were clashes between his supporters and opponents with bladed weapons. It ended badly, were wounded», — explained his decision Luzhkov on air of broadcasting company RTBF.

The Turkish President will arrive in Brussels to attend the NATO summit on may 25.

In the fight on 30 March, the Turkish Embassy in the Belgian capital at least five people were injured, including stab. In the clashes, which was stopped by the police, was attended by from 150 to 200 people.
