In Moscow took place the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Irkutsk region

Events dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Irkutsk region took place in Moscow’s Gorky Park, they made 320 artists from different municipalities of Angara region, according to the government of the Irkutsk region.

«For Muscovites made 320 artists Irkutsk region. It’s the best teams that presented the history of the region: from the Buryat settlements to the present. Made groups from 20 municipalities of the region. For artists on a trip to the capital was a reward for years of service. The event featured presentations on the largest enterprises of Irkutsk region», the report said the regional government.

The celebration was attended by honorary guests including the Deputy Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the Siberian Federal district Alexey Eremeev, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko, head of the Communist party faction in Parliament, Gennady Zyuganov, State Duma deputies, representatives of the government of Moscow.

Part in the celebration were members of the Association «Baikal», which brings together residents of the Irkutsk region, at different times, moved to Moscow.

We continue the glorious traditions established by the builders of the hydropower plants of the Angarsk cascade, those erected in the Angara region, the largest metallurgical, chemical, timber mills and the young city. Celebrations in the Russian capital were the first major event in the celebration of the anniversary of Irkutsk region, which will be held in the region from 27 September to 1 October. The program of the festival is scheduled more than six hundred activities.
