The Norwegian Ministry of energy and petroleum does not consider relevant the question of the regulation of oil production, told RIA Novosti press-service of the Ministry, commenting on reports of a possible accession to the Vienna agreement.

«The Ministry has a good dialogue with other countries on the oil market. We are not in a situation where the regulation of production is important for Norway,» — said the press service.

Earlier the Minister of oil of Kuwait Issam al-marzouq said that Saudi Arabia had contacts with Turkmenistan, Norway and Egypt on the subject of the accession of these countries to reduce oil production, and those given to understand that it can join the agreement.

OPEC on 30 November last year in Vienna agreed to reduce its production by 1.2 million barrels a day from October level. Eleven non-OPEC countries, 10 Dec agreed to reduce its production a total of 558 thousand barrels per day, including RF — 300 thousand. The agreement was concluded for the first half of 2017 with possibility of extension.

The question of the extension will be considered at the Ministerial meeting of the monitoring Committee of 24 may, and on the meeting of OPEC and countries that are not members of the cartel, may 25.
