Putin expressed condolences in connection with the attack on the Philippines

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his Philippine counterpart Rodrigo Duterte condolences in connection with death of people in the terrorist attack in the Philippines. He stated that he hopes that the conflict will be resolved as quickly as possible and with minimal losses.

On Tuesday evening it became known that Duterte imposed martial law in the province of Mindanao after fighting between the army and supporting the «Islamic state»* group. Duterte said in the beginning of the meeting with Putin that he needed to return to the Philippines.

«I want to go to the beginning of our conversation to Express my condolences in connection with death of people in your country that occurred as a result of a terrorist attack. I and my colleagues with the full understanding that you return immediately to the homeland. I want to Express hope that the conflict, which you have said will be resolved as quickly as possible with minimal losses,» — said Putin at the meeting with the President of the Philippines.
