The Moscow arbitration court on application of the Bank «VTB 24» was declared bankrupt a former President and one of the co-Vneshprombank Larisa Markus, previously convicted to 9 years in prison for the theft of controlled credit institution 114 billion rubles, and opened the procedure for the realization of its assets, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.

The request for the transition from the starting of the bankruptcy procedure – debt restructuring – sale of the property, said financial Manager Yury Rozhkov. He is approved by the court following bankruptcy proceedings. The report Manager on the progress of the sale of the property Marcus is scheduled for November 14.

As explained in the court’s financial Manager, in February the first meeting of creditors Marcus came to the conclusion about impossibility of restoration of solvency of the debtor. The representative of Vneshprombank (VPB) on Thursday asked the court to postpone the trial on the merits, to cancel the decision of first meeting of creditors to oblige the Trustee to hold the meeting again. According to the representative of the Bank, the meeting was held before the court of claims of the Bank to Marcus, with the result that it was not attended by its main creditor. The court dismissed the petition.

The arbitration of Moscow on 28 March included the debt owed to VPB in the amount of more than 1 billion rubles in the register of creditors ‘ claims Marcus. Then the court turned the debt to «VTB 24» in the amount of about 320 million rubles in the register of requirements of creditors. Capital arbitrage may 2 declared bankrupt, on the application of «VTB 24», husband of Larisa Marcus Lazarus Marcus, which acted as the guarantor of the spouse on the loan issued by the applicant, and could not repay her debt in the amount of about 320 million rubles.

The Moscow arbitration court in March 2016, recognized VPB included in the top 40 in Russia, a bankrupt. According to the report VPB on January 1, 2016, the Bank’s assets amounted to 236,55 billion, and liabilities 221,12 billion. However, the Bank introduced a temporary administration established that on 21 January 2016 the assets in fact were only 40,43 billion in liabilities 250,55 billion. According to ASV, the amount of Bank’s debt to creditors as of March 1, 2017 is around 233 billion roubles, including before 10242 a first-priority creditors (depositors) — 79,5 billion.
