. Probe Juno received the first pictures of the rings of Jupiter and recorded «music» arising from the interaction between the magnetic fields of the giant planet and solar wind, told the mission at the briefing at NASA.

«These pictures are the first pictures of the rings of Jupiter, obtained «inside» them. The two bright dots in this picture – the stars Betelgeuse and Bellatrix in the constellation Orion. This photograph is a vivid demonstration of the depths of space ring removed from us it has only 40 thousand kilometers, and all of these stars hundreds of light years,» said Heidi Becker (Becker Heidi) from the jet propulsion Laboratory of NASA in Pasadena (USA).

The existence of Jupiter’s rings, scientists know relatively recently compared to the rings of Saturn – they were discovered only in 1979, when the probe «Voyager-1» close to Jupiter. The first pictures of these rings were obtained probe «Galileo» in 1990, however, pictures of the rings on the background of stars, astronomers have not been able to obtain before the arrival of Juno to Jupiter.

As said Scott Bolton, the «diversity» Juno is not only beautiful photos that are received by the JunoCam camera and more «serious» scientific instruments of the probe can create works of art. As an example, he showed a recording of the «music» of Jupiter, obtained using the detector of the plasma by observing how the planet’s magnetic field interacts with solar wind particles.

This entry and many others «cosmic» sounds, which records the probe will be published in the Apple Music catalog to other music libraries where they will be able to listen to anyone.
