The Muslim Holy month of Ramadan in which believers observe a strict fast begins on Saturday.

The Muslim calendar is lunar-solar, so every year significant dates and holidays shift by approximately 11 days. The average length of one of the Muslim month is 29-30 days.

The evening meal

In the evening believers make breaking fast, called iftar.
