The number of special educators working in educational institutions in Russia, four times less than required, said the Minister of education and science Olga Vasilyeva at meeting of coordination Council under the President of the Russian Federation on the implementation of the national strategy for children.

The Minister recalled that over the past 15 years, Russia has significantly reduced the number of students studying in educational institutions. According to the norms, one specialist should account for about 15-20 children.

«Today this is happening in cetverokrevetni reduction. That is, 60-65 children with disabilities per pathologist», — said Vasilyev.

She also noted the trend of revival in Russia of the school for special education. Earlier, the Minister had announced the intention to increase the number of budget places in universities in the areas of psychology.
