Official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the statement of foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin about Pushkin.

On his page in Facebook, she quoted the words klimkina about the fact that after the President of Russia of «Russian Princess Anna Yaroslavna» it will take a Ukrainian Pushkin, as the creative genius of the poet served as an inspiration for Ukraine and Crimea.

«Paul, you Gogol is not yet understood. Where You for Alexander to grasp. And only for Your understanding: when Crimea was inspired by Pushkin, Khrushchev was not yet born,» wrote Zakharov.

Yesterday at a press conference after talks with French President Vladimir Putin noted that the history of Russian-French relations has deep roots. However, he reminded the «Russian Anne — Queen of France»: the youngest daughter of Grand Prince Yaroslav the Wise Anna was the wife of Henry I, and made a significant contribution to the development of France.

These are the words sparked outrage among Ukrainian politicians, who accused the Russian President of trying to encroach on «Ukrainian European deep historical roots» and «kidnap Anna Yaroslavna in Russian history».

Anne of Kiev was born, according to various sources, 1032, or 1036. She was the youngest of three daughters of Yaroslav the Wise, Prince of Rostov (987-1010 years), Novgorod (1010-1034 years) and Kiev (1016-1018 and 1019-1054 years).
