The building of the Egyptian Embassy and the residence of the Egyptian Ambassador in Afghanistan were injured in the powerful explosion thundered on Wednesday in Kabul near the presidential Palace and the diplomatic quarter, according to the Egyptian portal «al-Watan».

«Explosion in Kabul took place near the embassies of Egypt and the houses of the Ambassador Mogaba Nasser… All the Windows in buildings shattered, damaged walls,» — said the publication source in the Egyptian Embassy.

The source did not specify whether there are victims among employees of Embassy of Egypt in the explosion. «So far we don’t know the scale of the damage,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

A powerful bomb exploded in Kabul on Wednesday morning near the presidential Palace and buildings of foreign embassies. Many buildings were damaged, including the embassies of France and Germany. The death toll in the blast in the Afghan capital Kabul, has reached 90 people, 380 were injured. According to preliminary data of the Ministry of interior of Afghanistan, the bomb was planted in a tanker for transportation of water. While no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
