Basmanny court of Moscow on Wednesday has extended until 4 September the arrest of the former head of Udmurtia Alexander Solovyov in the case of receiving a bribe of 140 million rubles, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.

Earlier, the Prosecutor and state-appointed lawyer announced that the former head of the region’s pleading. Solovyov himself at the meeting asked to release him from jail under house arrest. The Prosecutor’s office and the investigation was opposed.

The investigation is extended to one year, i.e. until 14 October. Questioned about 30 people, to be heard in court materials.

The investigator said that «wine Solovyov on two counts of receiving a bribe is confirmed, in particular, the testimony of Soloviev.»

According to investigators, in the years 2014-2016, Solovyov received from representatives of the companies who have built bridges from the city kambarki, bribes totaling more than 140 million rubles. For that, Solovyov, according to the RF IC, was to provide a special payment from the budget and the allocation of licenses for exploration and extraction of sand.
