The head of the Public chamber of the Crimea Grigory Ioffe said that Western sanctions against the Crimea is revenge for the decision of the Crimean people to live in their homeland, they are invisible, «like mosquito bite».

The foreign Ministers of member countries of the European Union on Monday without discussion was prolonged for a year the sanctions against the Crimea. The restrictive measures was to expire on 23 June.

Ioffe stressed that over the past three years the Crimeans had accumulated serious experience, including in the development of the region in terms of sanctions.

«It all sounded scary, and I think that it’s all insurmountable trouble. Today we understand that sanctions is a political case, which is steeped in certain economic matters… In the world there are some precedents similar to the Crimean events, but there sanctions have never been imposed. It turns out that some political forces in the West are just taking revenge on the Crimea for their choice», — told RIA Novosti Ioffe.

The head of the OP stressed that sanctions against Crimea are not based on any legal aspects. «These sanctions are absolutely useless. If they are not reminded and not saying, no one would be in the Crimea did not notice them. After what we have already experienced with a water blockade, energy, food, transportation, us sanctions as a mosquito bite. It is also well know in the West, but continue to do a good mine at bad game», — said the Agency interlocutor.
