In South Africa hippopotamus Rhino drowned in the fight for water

In the South African game reserve in plateau two Small Karoo Hippo attacked the Rhino standing at the water’s edge during a drought, writes Daily Mail.

According to the caretaker of the reserve Ranger Robertson, that day the weather was dry and the hippos tried to protect the water source from a competitor. One of them eventually drowned rhinoceros.

«Hippos in drought particularly aggressive. <…> It’s like looking at the work of a bulldozer. Incredible force», — leads edition of the words of Robertson.

According to the newspaper, hippos are among the most dangerous animals of Africa. In a year they kill about 500 people.
