The passengers of the ship which ran aground in the white sea-Baltic canal in Karelia, will return the value of permits in accordance with the law, according to the company «Gama», which owns the vessel.

Passenger ship «A. S. Popov» ran aground in the white sea-Baltic canal in Karelia on Tuesday, none of the 139 passengers were not injured.

«The cruise company «Gama» will make a refund of vouchers tourists, the journey which was interrupted, in accordance with the current legislation», — stated in the message.

It is noted that all passengers have been evacuated from the stranded vessel.

«All passengers at present already transplanted to another passenger ship «Timiryazev» and will be sent to the gateway No. 5 (Povenets). The travelers are provided three meals a day and additional dry rations. From Povenets, passengers on buses will be sent to Petrozavodsk, and then to Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod», — informs the company.

According to preliminary data, the reason of landing of the passenger ship ran aground was the mistake of the pilot. «The cause of grounding is specified (pre — pilot error)», — stated in the message.
