Two Teens rescued from capsized boat on lake Ladoga in the pitkäranta district of Karelia are in a state of moderate severity, their life is not threatened, told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the head of the region Marina Kabatak.

The boat in which were five teenagers 15-17 years old (four boys and a girl), capsized in the Bay Impilahti on lake Ladoga on Monday, the fate of three of them is unknown, search and rescue work continues. Earlier it was reported that two teenagers were sent to Sortavala Central hospital.

«At the moment the rescued teenagers are in a state of moderate severity hospitalized in Sortavala Central hospital. There are signs of hypothermia, but their lives are not threatened,» — said Kabatak.

According to the acting head of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, who on Monday left on a place of state of emergency and led the rescue operation, with teenagers and parents, doctors and psychologists, they will be given all necessary assistance. In the Bay Impilahti the search continues for three Teens at the scene deployed operational headquarters.

«For the next day planned to continue search operations. Defined additional space to work diving groups, it is planned to strengthen the grouping of rescuers. Work can be complicated weather conditions — the weather today in water area of Ladoga lake are expected wind gusts of up to 10 meters per second», — said Kabatak.
