Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Russia’s Svetlana Kolesnichenko for the first time in his career he won the world championship as a soloist by winning the solo technical program.

On Saturday in the world championship on water sports in Budapest Kolesnichenko won with a program called «Solveig’s Song» performed by Anna Netrebko, received 95,2036 points. Earlier Kolesnichenko won the world Championships only in duets and groups. Second place went to the Spaniard, She Carbonell — 93,6534 points, the third — Ukrainian Anna Voloshina (91,9992).

This gold was the first for the Russian team at the tournament, which ends July 30.
