The consequence requests an extension until 19 October the arrest of three persons involved in business on plunders in «the Seventh Studio», told RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the Basmanny court of Moscow Juno Tsarev.

In may at the Metropolitan theater «Gogol-center» and the home of its artistic Director Kirill Serebrennikov were searched in the case of embezzlement of state funds at a nonprofit organization, «the Seventh Studio», based Serebrennikov. Defendants in the case, in addition to Malopolska, are accountant Nina Masliaev and ex-CEO of the company Yuri Itin.

According to the investigation, the Ministry of culture of Russia has allocated the «Seventh Studio» about 70 million rubles for shows and tours. The defendants, according to the investigation, stole more than 2 million rubles of this amount by bogus documents about the organization of the play «a Midsummer night’s Dream».

«The investigation asks the court to extend for three months, but only until October 19, the arrest of the former Director of the «Gogol-center» Alexei Malopolska. The court will consider the request on Monday, July 17, at 15.00″, — said the press Secretary.

She added that on Monday, the court will consider a similar request to the investigation and against the former accountant of the «Seventh Studio» Nina Massieu. In addition, there will be a meeting to consider the petition of the investigation on the extension of house arrest the former head of the «Seventh Studio» Yuri Itino.
