A Russian presidential adviser on climate change Alexander Bedritsky said the growth of natural hazards in the Arctic.

«Threats from the natural environment, unfortunately, in the Arctic are increasing», — he told reporters. According to Bedritsky, «there is reason to believe that the average temperature on Earth is increasing, the climate is warming, especially in the Arctic.»

He explained that the shrinking of Arctic ice and new weather phenomena that can be dangerous including for aviation.

«To reduce these risks, it is necessary to have not only conventional aircraft, but unmanned aircraft, wig. They can operate in different weather conditions,» — said Bedritsky speaking at the forum the Russian emergencies Ministry and NGOs «Society for security» in the Vologda region.

He took EMERCOM of Russia the role of the leader in introducing new technology to ensure safety in the Arctic. «MOE is the Ministry which leads all the rest. This role of leader is complex, but, nevertheless, the MOE successfully solves these problems,» — said the presidential adviser.

Bedritsky noted that the MOE has all the necessary technology, and the Ministry is leading the rescue service of the world.
