The area of forest fires in California over the day has increased almost four times, according to the newspaper Los Angeles Times.

According to the newspaper, the fire area in the national forest of «Los Pardes» on Saturday was more than 17 thousand acres (about 7 thousand hectares). On Friday, the burning area amounted to 4 thousand acres (1.6 thousand hectares).

Suppression of natural forest fires is hampered by hot and dry weather, firefighters are working in difficult mountainous terrain. As reported, heat and drought will last until Monday.

Earlier it was reported that as a result of large wildfires in California, their homes were forced to leave about 8 thousand people.
