In China, retail sales in the first half increased by 10.4%

. Retail sales in China in January-June 2017 rose by 10.4% compared to the same period last year, according to data of the state statistical Bureau of China.

Total sales for the first half made up of 17.26 trillion yuan ($2.5 trillion).

While sales in the cities for the six months increased by 10.1%, amounting to 14.7 trillion yuan, and in rural areas by 12.3%, to 2.45 trillion yuan.

Online sales during the reporting period increased by 33.4% compared to the same period last year, reaching 3.1 trillion yuan.

Retail sales in China at the end of 2016 increased by 10.4% to 33,23 trillion yuan (4,84 trillion dollars). The volume of retail online sales grew by 26.2%, to 5.15 trillion yuan (750 billion dollars).
