The interstate aviation Committee (IAC) has formed a Commission to investigate the crash landing of light aircraft «eagle» RA-2842G on the waters of lake Baikal in Khuzhir, according to the website MAC.

According to investigators, on Sunday at about 16.30 Moscow time, the Cessna-172R owned by a private person, made a hard landing near the island of Olkhon on the surface of the lake. It was noted that the two victims were taken to local village hospital. Airplane partially sank in the lake near the shore.

«16 July 2017 in the area of Khuzhir village (water area of lake Baikal in Irkutsk region) there was an accident with EMS aircraft «eagle» RA-2842G private person… In accordance with the Russian aviation legislation, the interstate aviation Committee has formed a Commission to investigate this accident. The Commission began its work», — stated in the message.

According to MACK, were on Board two passengers were injured, the aircraft sustained substantial damage and sank.

A source in the emergency services of the region told RIA Novosti that during hard landing of a light aircraft suffered two, they were taken to Khuzhirskiy Central regional hospital, two people disappeared in the unknown direction they are wanted by the police.
