Astronauts Yuri Malenchenko, Sergei Volkov and Mikhail Kornienko for courage and professionalism in the implementation of long-term space flight on the ISS, awarded the order «For merits before Fatherland», the corresponding presidential decree published Monday on the official portal of legal information.

«To award the order «For merits before Fatherland» II degree Malenchenko Yuriy Ivanovich, instructor-test cosmonaut cosmonaut corps «Scientific-research test cosmonaut training center named after Yury Gagarin», the order «For merits before Fatherland» III degrees Volkov Sergey — instructor-test cosmonaut, with the order «For merits before Fatherland» IV degree Kornienko Mikhail Borisovich — cosmonaut-investigator, stated in the decree.

During the period from 1994 to 2016 Yuri Malenchenko made six flights to the ISS, in which six times out to open space. In total, the astronaut was in orbit for more than two years — 827 days.

Sergei Volkov was in space three times. In total he spent in orbit for more than 547 days.

Mikhail Kornienko, flew to the ISS twice, the latter in the framework of the annual expedition with the American astronaut Scott Kelly. The crew spent at the station more than 340 days. The total time of stay Kornienko in space — 516 days.
