More than 100 thousand people in the Niigata Prefecture in Northwest Japan had received instructions or guidance for emergency evacuation, told broadcaster NHK.

Because of torrential rains, when an hour in some areas, dropped about 100 millimeters of rainfall has drastically increased the threat of landslides and floods.

Like the strength of the rain two weeks ago caused multiple floods and landslides in southwest Japan.

34 people were killed, 10 are missing.

Forecasters reported that heavy rains are expected in Fukushima Prefecture in the North-East. In Niigata and Fukushima, meteorologists urge people to move away from mountain slopes and cliffs, not to approach the river banks.
