The Belgian company Drylock Technologies launched in the special economic zone «Alabuga» in Tatarstan plant producing sanitary and hygienic products worth more than EUR 40 million, the construction of which was previously suspended due to financial difficulties, the press service of the President of Tatarstan.

The company became a resident of the SEZ «Alabuga» in 2013, in 2014 the construction of the plant was halted and resumed in late 2015. Plant «draylok technologies» will produce a modern, hygienic products, absorbent underwear, diapers and special products for people with urological diseases. The company has a capacity of 14 lines, which will be put into operation gradually within a few years. It is expected that the main markets will be Russia and the countries of the customs Union.

«Today is a significant event. The socio-political situation was such that at some time we had to stop. Thanks to the commitment of the investor, this project was implemented. The project is very needed for our country, he solves the problem of import substitution. There will be (to be) 433 million products is a very big number», — the press service quoted the words of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the opening ceremony.

According to the President of the holding Drylock Bart van Malderen, total production capacity will reach 3.5 billion units of products (diapers) per year, the project can be recouped within five years. Currently, the plant is expected to install the fifth line, the area allows you to double it.

According to the company, in the production process uses a unique environmentally friendly technology bestselling production. Now «draylok technologies» uses local components for packaging the finished product. According to the President of the holding company, for three to five years, the company expects the localization of raw material producers.

Currently, the plant in «Alabuga» employs 200 employees, the growth of production capacity is planned to increase the number of jobs to 350-400.
