International airport in Kurgan-Tyube, the administrative center of the Khatlon region in southern Tajikistan, is temporarily closed due to the lack of flights from Moscow, told RIA Novosti in the management of the Ministry of transport and communications of the Republic.

«The airport is temporarily closed due to the fact that the Russian airline «VIM-Avia» stopped flights on the route Moscow — Kurgan-Tyube – Moscow», — said the Agency interlocutor.

«VIM-Avia» with the 2014 five times a week to fly from Moscow to Kurgan-Tyube. But in August the flights were reduced to two times a week, and in early September, and stopped altogether.

«This company is going to resume flights to Kurgan-Tyube in October, as now the aircraft «WIM-Avia» taken on flights on tourist routes in Russia and abroad», — said the representative of the Ministry of transport.

While 120 airport staff sent on leave without content. International airport in Kurgan-tube does not have its own aircraft due to the acceptance and service of flights of airlines.
