The volume of investments into the fixed capital of the Murmansk region for the first half of 2017 amounted to more than 40 billion rubles, which is 45% more than in the same period in 2016, said the Governor of the region Marina Kovtun at a meeting of the Council on improving the investment climate.

The head of the region noted that Murmansk oblast has occupied 32-e a place in a national rating of investment climate in subjects of the Russian Federation for the year 2016.

«By the end of 2015, we have 52-th place, we have up 20 points, confirming the status of the region with favorable business development conditions. Improving the investment climate confirmed by the figures. For the first half of 2017 in the region has increased the volume of investments in fixed capital – it amounted to more than 40 billion rubles, which is almost 45% more than in the corresponding period of 2016», — said Kovtun.

The meeting examined the results of implementation of the standard of competition development in the Murmansk region. According to the results of the appropriate rating for 2016 Murmansk oblast took the 27th place in Russia and 2nd place in northwestern Federal district. In addition, the experience of the region for the formation of measures to promote competition and support of small and medium enterprises welcomed in the «white» book of Pro-competitive regional practices of the Federal Antimonopoly service, said the government of the region.

In addition, the parties shall consider the drafts of normative legal acts affecting business and investment activity in Murmansk region, proposals for amending the law of Murmansk region «On state support of investment activity on the territory of Murmansk region» in terms of introducing the possibility of granting privileges on income tax and tax on property of enterprises to investors implementing projects of public-private partnerships.
