The Deputy of the state Duma urged not to hurry up with the Amnesty for illegal migrants

Депутат Госдумы призвал не торопиться с амнистией для нелегальных мигрантов

The flow of migrants to Russia is necessary to control and Amnesty for illegal immigrants could affect security in the country, said first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Mikhail Emelyanov.

Earlier, the Amnesty for certain categories of irregular migrants suggested to declare in Russia the representative of the Russian Congress of peoples of the Caucasus Aslanbek Paskachev, speaking at the Council for interethnic relations.

According to Emelyanova, the currently relevant services can not cope with the flow of migrants and, according to him, Russia does not need a large number of migrants.

“I am advocating not to legalize migration, but rather to build a pretty reliable barrier against any excessive migration to very tightly regulate this process. But we must not go the way of Europe, which see, in what has become” — said the Agency interlocutor.

Emelyanov believes that indigenous people should have certain rights, “at least to maintain the ethnic and cultural environment in which they are accustomed to exist.”

“Lobbying visits of strangers, I think it would negatively affect security,” he added.
