In the Moscow metro will launch a dedicated Russian art train

Train dedicated to Russian art of XX century will run in the Moscow metro on Wednesday, it will be the first stage of the educational project of the Tretyakov gallery “Intensive XX”, the press service of the Museum.

“In the depot “Krasnaya Presnya” will be the launch of branded train dedicated to Russian art of the XX century. Each car of the train − laconic story about one of the periods of the XX century, accompanied by 78 reproductions of fragments of works from the collection of the Tretyakov gallery at Krymsky Val”, — stated in the message.

The press service noted that the running branded trains − the first stage of a large-scale educational project “Intensiv”. November 30 will start its work on the Internet portal, which is in the form of bright and short lectures and podcasts will contain information on the authors and the collection of the Tretyakov gallery on the Crimean Shaft.

The third element of the project “Intensiv” will be the design of the metro station “Park of culture”. Drawing on international practice, when the particular station is associated passengers with specific cultural object, the project aims to create a visual link between the metro station “Park of culture” and the Tretyakov gallery on the Crimean Shaft. Examples of such cooperation can be seen in the metro Museum in Toronto and the Palais-Royal-Musée du Louvre in Paris.

“The aim of the project “Intensive XX” − through the integration of art in everyday life of the city to change the attitudes of a broad audience to Russian art of the twentieth century, to make more understandable and closer to her artistic language”, — stated in the material.

In the course of the project every two months are represented different stages of development of Russian art of the twentieth century avant-garde, socialist realism and 1960-1980-ies. Total project duration will be six months.
