Erdogan: the restriction on the call for Muslim prayer in Israel is dangerous

Эрдоган: ограничение на призыв к мусульманской молитве в Израиле опасно

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called passing threat in Israel, the debate over possible restrictions on the broadcast of adhan (call to obligatory prayer for Muslims).

The Israeli Parliament is considering the draft law put forward at the initiative of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who forbids the mosques in East Jerusalem and in Arab communities in Israel to broadcast the adhaan via loudspeakers.

“We need the steps that will contribute to the resolution of problems, rather than escalating tensions. Discussions about azan that occur in the last time (in Israel), I find very dangerous. They are offensive not just to Palestinians but to all Muslims, and useful for anyone will bring. We conveyed to Israeli officials our concerns and possible dangerous results, if it is legalized,” — said Erdogan, speaking at a Symposium on Jerusalem in Istanbul.

He added that “lasting peace is the only way – the creation of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem.” —0-
