Lavrov arrived in Minsk for a meeting of foreign Ministers of “Norman Quartet” on Ukraine

The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Minsk on Tuesday, the negotiations of foreign Ministers “channel four” to resolve the situation in Ukraine.

Previously the foreign Ministry of Belarus said that the meeting should begin in the second half of the day. It is expected that one of the main issues in the talks will attempt to agree on a “road map” of the Donbas. Earlier, foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier also said that he intends to take advantage of these talks in Minsk to discuss with the Russian side Syria and the possibility of a humanitarian ceasefire in Aleppo.

Talking about the road map for the Donbas was the first year for the summit in “Norman format” in Berlin on October 19. The leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine agreed then with no alternative to the Minsk agreements on the settlement in the South-East of Ukraine.

As noted at the summit, press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, most of the points of the Minsk agreements, especially the political part, not implemented by the Ukrainian side.
