The introduction of the oral part of state final examination (GIA) in the Russian language will facilitate the development of a unified educational space, the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov.

The press service of the Ministry reported that previously Rosobrnadzor held a discussion on the results of a pilot test of the oral part of the GIA in the Russian language.

“The introduction of the oral part of the GIA in the Russian language will facilitate the development of a unified educational space of our multinational country. Should be aware that the exam on the Russian language mandatory for all graduates. Therefore, the technology of the oral exam must be highly reliable to prevent any failures” — are reported words of the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov.

“During the discussion it was noted the need to implement a number of preparatory activities before the introduction of the oral part of the GIA: to conduct a large scale testing and public and professional discussion of the oral part of the GIA, make changes in the appropriate program of training of teachers of the Russian language”, — stated in the message of the service.

It is also reported that the participants of the Scientific-methodical Council also drew attention to the need for detailed regulatory mechanisms to protect the rights of students with disabilities and speech problems in the context of the introduction of the oral part of GIA, said in a statement.

In addition, in the course of these discussions, the President of the Russian Academy of education (RAO) Lyudmila Verbitskaya noted the prospects and importance of the introduction of the oral part of the GIA in the Russian language. Director FIPI Oxana Reshetnikova told about the developed approaches to conducting the oral part of GIA, and representatives of the ministries of education of the Moscow region, Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic, which carried out the pilot testing, informed about its results and the work to be done in the regions for successful conduct of the oral examination in a regular mode.
