The economist: Putin’s message to Parliament will say about the growth of the Russian economy

Chief economist of the Center for economic and financial research and development (CEFIR), Alexei Deviatov believes that the message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin will affect mainly the topic of foreign policy, and will focus on the beginning of the recovery growth of the Russian economy.

Putin will deliver his annual address to the Federal Assembly on 1 December.

“I guess some of the big breakthroughs do not wait. I think that much of it will be reduced to applications in the field of foreign policy. On the other hand, in relation to the economy, I think that will be the rhetoric that the situation has stabilized, we have reached a point when the economy starts to grow, I think so,” Devyatov told RIA Novosti.

He added that the message the market is waiting for signals about the beginning of institutional reforms aimed at improving the business climate.

On Tuesday, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the message to the Federal Assembly will differ from the previous, but certainly there will be an emphasis on the social obligations of the state.
