The PLA will develop a national plan for the fight against doping

НОАК займется разработкой национального плана по борьбе с допингом

Independent public anti-doping Commission (PLA) of the Olympic Committee of Russia intends to initiate the development of a plan for the fight against doping and will prepare the main points of the plan by February next year, said the head of the PLA Vitaly Smirnov.

Independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) in November 2015 has accused Russia of numerous anti-doping rule violations, were suspended the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, and also made a decision on the compliance with the Russian anti-doping Agency RUSADA of the WADA code.

On Wednesday in MIA “Russia today” held a regular public meeting of the Independent anti-doping Commission.

“We are in constant contact with the Investigative Committee. Heard (Vladimir) Lisin, who attended the meeting in Glasgow. There we received proposals to resolve the relationships of our Agency and WADA. We are on the right track. We are going to proceed with the development of the national plan for the fight against doping. Prepare the main points of the plan by February next year”, — said Smirnov.

The head of the independent Commission WADA Richard McLaren on July 18 announced the results of the investigation on the violation of anti-doping rules at the Olympic winter games in Sochi in 2014. According to the results of the report, WADA recommended that the IOC to suspend the entire national team of Russia on Games in Rio de Janeiro, but in the end, the Russians were at the Olympics. It is expected that the second part of the presentation of the McLaren will be published on 9 December.

“I don’t think the IOC Executive Board will discuss the report of McLaren. We (the PLA) do their job, we met with McLaren at his request. We on the Board all reported to WADA. We are on the right track. We categorically reject the assumption that the country was in the state system of organization of doping,” added the head of the PLA.
