Япония прорабатывает усиление односторонних санкций против КНДР

The government of Japan is in “final stage of approval of” strengthening of unilateral sanctions against the DPRK after increased sanctions from the UN Security Council in response to the nuclear test in September.

This was stated at a press conference Thursday, the Secretary-General of the Japanese government, Acehide Suga.

“We highly appreciate the adoption of new sanctions by the UN Security Council against the DPRK. We intend to work closely with the international community to apply resolution properly”, — he stressed.

The UN Security Council on Wednesday tightened the sanctions regime against North Korea after it conducted nuclear tests. The corresponding resolution number 2321 was passed unanimously. Resolution followed by a list of individuals and organizations to whom will be travel bans and freezing of assets and name of materials, equipment and technologies prohibited to supply in the country.

The DPRK on 5 September successfully tested three ballistic missiles that reached Japan’s air defence zone over 1 thousand kilometers away from triggers, and September 9, held a fifth since 2006 nuclear test, despite the ban on the UN security Council.
