Earlier, the Deputy Director of the Department of state policy and regulation in the sphere of environmental protection Ministry of Russia Vsevolod Stepanitsky told reporters that in Russia the year of environmental protection in 2017 will open two national parks and many state parks. In 2017 marks 100 years since the creation of the first Russian state nature reserve. It began with the history of the Federal system of especially protected natural territories (SPNT).

“In the Ulyanovsk region has prepared a draft national Park “Sengileevsky mountains”. It marked the boundaries of the Park, the calculated amount for its creation and content – about 75 million roubles. It is planned that the Park will have around 100-120 professionals. It is essential that the planned specially protected natural area was created as the best protection natural diversity of animals and plants can get in that area,” said frost.

In the regional Ministry of agriculture, forestry and natural resources, RIA Novosti reported that the project has passed all approvals and is left to approve it in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of justice.

“We expect that soon will be signed the government decree on the establishment of the national Park” — said the representative of the Ministry.

He added that the Park will be created and maintained on Federal funds. After released a decree on the establishment of the Park, will form the management of the national Park, which is located in the Federal submission.

Natural monument “Sengiley mountains” is located in the southeastern part of the Volga height, the length of the mountains from North to South along the Volga river is 22 kilometers. The maximum height of the hills is 334 meters above sea level. The total area of the proposed national Park of 44 hectares, including 40 hectares of the forest Fund. A significant part of the Park is within existing specially protected natural territories: Sengileevsky paleontological reserve, reserve “Shilovsky forest-steppe”, natural monument “Rocky chalk steppe near the village of Tushna” and “Vyrastayka step”. On the territory of Sengileevsky mountains are local history, archaeological, Botanical and other studies. In the Sengileevsky mountains are home to rare species of animals and plants.
