In the Yalta zoo “fairy Tale” had three rare Bengal tiger cubs white color, listed in the Red book, they were named in honor of the Musketeers of Alexander Dumas, told RIA Novosti Director of the zoo Oleh Zubkov.

“Tigress Tigryulya gave birth to three boys. They are bottle-fed in the zoo “fairy Tale”. The survival of white tiger cubs is very low: the global experience — 15%, and up to 50%. I hope that they are alive and healthy,” he said.

According to him, the tigress refused to nurse their offspring. “Mom had them scattered. Staff have already raised them, prokladnyh, and began to suckle. Named the cubs as the three Musketeers: Athos, Porthos and Aramis,” — said the Agency interlocutor.

Zubkov noted that in two of the Crimean zoos live eight white Bengal tigers.

Tigryulya was presented to the Crimean zoo former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, and the tiger I bought in France.

It is believed that only in captivity live about 130 white tigers. The population of the Bengal tiger, the most numerous of the tiger subspecies, does not exceed 2500 individuals.
