The presidential elections in Uzbekistan were declared valid — the voter turnout at 11.00 am local time (9.00 Moscow time) exceeded 33%, said at a briefing the Chairman of the Central election Commission (CEC) of the country Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.

Presidential elections are held on Sunday in Uzbekistan. In the presidential elections in 2015, the turnout at 10.00 am local time was 36.6% of the electorate.

In accordance with the law for an election voted 33% of registered voters. Polling stations closed at 20.00 (18.00 Moscow time).

According 12.00 local time, voted 9.3 million voters, which is 45.5% of the total.

In the election involved four candidates: Mirziyoev (liberal democratic party of Uzbekistan), Hataman Meetings (people’s democratic party of Uzbekistan, PDPU), Sarwar of Atamuradov, (National democratic party “Milly Tiklanish”, the “National revival”), and narimon Umarov (the social democratic party “Adolat”, “Justice”).
