The Russian government will discuss measures of state support of agricultural producers

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting on Monday where it will discuss measures of state support of agricultural producers in 2017 and the maintenance of investment activity in the industry, reported the press service of the Russian government.

“The fifth of December, Dmitry Medvedev will hold meeting on which will discuss measures of state support of agricultural producers in 2017 and the maintenance of investment activity in the industry”, — stated in the message.

It is noted that in the meeting will participate Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev, Minister of economic development Maxim Oreshkin, as well as representatives of departments and heads of banks.

The meeting will also discuss the issue of support for investment activity in the industry. The issue of support of agrarian sector of Russia at the moment is particularly acute in the context of limited budget.

At the moment, the draft Federal budget for 2017 in the state program of development of agriculture it is planned to send 204,5 billion rubles, which is 10 billion less than it was in the end allocated for 2015. The Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev in mid-November, appealed to the members of the Federation Council and the state Duma with a request to seek additional 10-20 billion rubles of financing agriculture in the country for 2017.

By the end of 2016, the Ministry expects that the harvest of grain and bean will reach a record 117 million tons, which will be the best for the last 38 years, and the exports at the end of the agricultural year (from July 2016 to June 2017) is expected to reach 35-40 million tons, including 28 million tons of wheat.
