Trump has criticized the economic and military policies of China

Трамп раскритиковал экономическую и военную политику Китая

The US President-elect Donald trump descended on China with criticism over the devaluation of the currency, high taxation of American imports to China, and the construction of a military complex in the South China sea.

“They asked whether we are China, good for us, the devaluation of their currency (which complicated the competition for our companies), high taxation of our goods going into their country (the U.S. levies no tax) or the construction of a massive military complex in the middle of the South China sea? I think not” — trump wrote in his microblog on Twitter.

Earlier, trump talked on the phone with the head of administration of Taiwan Cai Inven. Presumably, this was the first telephone conversation between the President-elect and head of Taiwan since 1979, when diplomatic relations of administration of Taiwan with Washington ceased. Beijing this call responded to the diplomatic protest.

During his election campaign trump spoke out strongly against China, including promising to impose duties on Chinese goods to 45% for currency manipulation. In response to such statements by Chinese newspaper the Global Times reminded the applicant that in case of retaliatory action by Beijing “orders for Boeing can be replaced on Airbus. Sales of American cars and the iPhone to China fail, and the number of Chinese students studying in the United States, China may limit”. At the same time, Chinese experts believe that trump “won’t be so naive” to realize the pre-election threat.

In addition, one of the most sensitive issues in relations between Beijing and Washington became the territorial disputes in the waters of the South China sea. The US says that is not a party to the dispute, hold a neutral position. China has repeatedly accused the US of provocation in the region.
