Russia hopes for support of Finland in the implementation of the “Nord stream-2”

Россия надеется на поддержку Финляндии в реализации "Северного потока-2"

Russia during the visit of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Finland wants to secure the political support of the partners in the implementation of the “Nord stream-2” and to know the terms of the permission for the construction of the pipeline, told reporters Deputy Prime Minister and head of Russian government office Sergey Prikhodko.

“We are going to talk and wonder when this will again permit its construction”, — said Prikhodko.

He said that “Nord stream-2” passes through the exclusive economic zone of Finland, and Moscow plans to obtain the necessary explanations and recommendations in part existing environmental regulations and standards.

“We need to secure the political support of our partners and their willingness to tackle relevant issues in Brussels,” — said the head of the government apparatus.

“We need to find out if they are their own stated intentions to adhere to or not. We want to hear from the Prime Minister the position of Finland on this important project”, — said Prikhodko.
