Russia completes the construction of two helicopter centers in Venezuela, told reporters Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

The construction of the centres was discussed at the Russian-Venezuelan high-level Commission in the framework of the working visit of the Russian delegation to Latin America. The meeting was held in Caracas, chaired by Rogozin and foreign Minister of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez.

“We are completing the construction of two helicopter centers — one center for the training and the second for maintenance and repairs,” — said Rogozin, adding that Russia is supplying components for machinery which is already in service in Venezuela. “This defense system is “Buk”, “Pechora”, helicopters”, — said Deputy Prime Minister.

According to him, the Commission had also discussed the Russian-Venezuelan interaction in the energy sphere.

Dmitry Rogozin headed the Russian delegation with 6 to December 11, during his working visit to several countries of Latin America, including Nicaragua, Venezuela and Cuba. It is planned to discuss questions trading-economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to open sources, Russia has supplied Venezuela, including multi-purpose helicopters Mi-17 and Mi-35.
