The penalty for violation of the order at sport events can toughen

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on introducing to the state Duma a bill on the punishment of the audience for a gross violation of the rules of behavior at official sports competitions, reported Thursday on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“To amend the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the draft Federal law “On amendments to the Russian Code of administrative offences”, — stated in the order.

The document proposes to Supplement the Code on administrative offences of the norm that punishment for gross violation of rules of behavior, and to determine violations of these rules are to rough.

In particular, it is proposed to increase the minimum fine from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, maximum — 25 to 50 thousand rubles. Term of administrative arrest for violation of the prohibition to visit the official sporting event is set from 10 to 15 days.

For foreigners and individuals without citizenship the bill proposes to set the penalty for a repeated or flagrant violation of these rules in the form of a fine from 10 to 20 thousand rubles with expulsion from Russia.

The bill was considered and approved at the government session held on 1 December.
